Motor repair

We repair both electrical and mechanical issues. 90% of faulty motors can be repaired at less of half the price of a new motor.

Assessment: We inspect the motor for waterproofing, electrical faults en mechanical issues like bearings, freewheel and stripped gear teeth.

Select Replacement:For electrical faults we can replace individual chips with microsoldering or the whole circuit board where water damage is excessive. In case of mechanical issues we can overhaul all rotating parts or just the defective ones (advised when the motor has less than 10000km). We have a supply of gears, freewheels and bearings.

Installation: We add extra waterproofing, thermal management and grease. 

Testing: Check motor performance post-installation. We test at 300% of the normal usage.

Bosch motor modifications

As far as we know, we're the only ones doing these modifications:

Pedal sensor sensitivity: We can make the torque sensor more sensitive by up to 35%. Perfect for people who want to exert less force yet still get plenty of assistance. If you're becoming older, recovering from surgery or having to carry cargo, this is the solution.

Increase the motor torque/power : Do you think you want a more powerful Bosch motor?

We can make your existing motor have as much torque as the higher torque models (up to 105Nm). This is possible due to similar or exactly the same mechanical internal parts. As an example - Active line can be upgraded to Performance line, Performance line can be upgraded to CX. All for less than half the price of a new motor.

We also need your battery or at least the BMS, to determine if your battery is compatible with the higher current levels a more torque-y motor requires. Some wires or traces and temperature sensors need to be thicker or adjusted.

We do advise to stay within the torque limits of the CX. More torque will always wear out the battery a bit faster due to a higher C-rate!

Connector or Enclosure replacement

Connector failure: Ensure trouble free rides with a new, sturdy connector. 

Enclosure replacement: Accidents, dropping or mishandling can crack the case, exposing the sensitive internals to rain and dirt .

Inspection:We check the severity of the damage. If water has propagated into the circuitry inside a price estimate will be given.

Replacement: Replace damaged parts, but only if the other components are deemed safe for further use. Safety is priority.
